How does validation works?

This certificate is available to any individual and it doesn’t require any paperwork in order to be issued. Issuance typically happens in just a few minutes, representing the most chosen type of certificates by privates or very small companies, due to their reduced price and ease of issuance.
For medium to large businesses we highly discourage the use of domain validation certificates. Instead, Organization Validation and Extended Validation certificates represents a better suite for both your business and your (potential) customers.

Once your order has been placed and approved, you will need to configure some administrative details of the certificate (i.e. administrative and technical contact details), as well as the domain name that you wish to secure and the domain validation method.

Validation via email address

In order to validate the ownership of your domain, you may choose one of the following email addresses that the Certificate Authority will use to send a verification link to. You will later need to confirm the email address by clicking on the verification link and typing a special code provided in the same email.

Validation via DNS
